Keyboard Shortcuts
Snap windows to zones quickly using keyboard shortcuts. All shortcuts are configurable from the MacsyZones settings.
Snap Key
Snap the active window to a zone by pressing a snap key combined with the modifier key.
Snap:
⌘+⇧+S
The modifier key (default: Control) activates snapping mode and shows snap resizers between adjacent zone edges. It has a configurable delay to hold the key. The snap key (default: Shift) triggers an immediate snap when combined with the modifier key.
Quick Snap
One-shot snap for the active window via a single shortcut.
Quick Snap:
⌘+⇧+S
Snap the active window immediately to the first available zone.
Cycle Windows
Navigate through windows occupying the same zone.
Next Window:
⌘+]
Previous Window:
⌘+[
Useful when multiple windows occupy the same zone — cycle through them with a shortcut.
Snap with Right Click
Right-click a window to snap it to a zone.
Right Click:
⌘+Right Click
Useful for mouse-driven workflow — simply right-click any window to snap it.
Modifier Key vs Snap Key
Modifier Key
Activates snapping mode. When held, snap resizers appear between adjacent zone edges so you can resize windows across zones. Has a configurable delay to hold the key (default: 1000ms).
Snap Key
Triggers an immediate snap when combined with the modifier key. Snap the active window to a zone instantly.
